Baby keep smiling!

Happy New Year a little late and hey baby keep smiling!  Thanks to everyone for making this a really busy Christmas season for me.  I thought I would start the new year off right with a highlight of a brand new beautiful baby.  We caught baby C. with the biggest smile ever.  It doesn’t get any better than that.  And check out those beautiful lips.  I have had a great time with this couple…only about a month before our newborn session, we did a maternity session at the beach.  This image was caught as they were waiting for their beautiful baby girl’s arrival.  I can’t forget about the other member of the family whose life changed when baby came home (better know as Max)…I love seeing the four legged “first” baby on the move too…that makes me smile.

Pictures of Joy…

So joyful, so in motion and so spontaneously funny mood swings…these are just a few of the things I love about babies.  These images were captured right at the very end of this six month old session.  Last time I saw them they were newborns and now they are sitting up, crawling and on the move.  As the two little pictures of joy crawled around racing each other moods swing as in any fierce competition.  These two little boys were full of surprises and I think these images speak volumes about their personalities.

Perfect day at the beach / Jacksonville Beach Photographer

I was so pleased to meet and photograph this beautiful family.  What more could I ask for than great kids and a perfect day for a session at the beach?  We had so much fun…there was laughing, playing and a little sister to chase.  Big sister H. , big brother T. and little sister K. were so sweet to each other and it just shines through in these images.

Baby L. / Jacksonville Newborn Photographer

I was so excited to photograph little baby L and see his family again.  Big sister M. has grown so much and is so sweet.  Doing this session just reminded me of big sister’s newborn session and how that didn’t seem that long ago.  Baby L was so cute and was so alert.  This made for a really fun session full of jumping, playing and just being a family.  This is what family is all about in my opinion…being together enjoying a moment or at least remembering it that way.  They are only so little for so long 🙂

This little guy was so full of energy.  I had a great time meeting mom and this little one.  We played and I think the results of his personality truly came out in a big way.  Every session creates a fun memory for me…we did a little jumping on the bed, a new game “throw my blankie at Mrs. Danita” and then outside for some more fun.  Check out that sweet expression…love that.

Baby Basket Newborn Session / Newborn Photography

Baby Basket newborn shoot…

This was an absolutely fun newborn session that I did on-location in St. Augustine last week.  We had a blast and baby did pretty much everything we wanted her to do.  Since babies usually run the show in newborn sessions, I usually let them lead the way.   Baby R. at 8 weeks old made a perfect little model and had so much personality.  So we showcased that personality taking full advantage of her awake and sleepy times.  It was so hard to decide my favorites for the blog but the baby basket images of her were so adorable.  I am so excited to share the rest with her mom and dad…it will be soon guys promise 🙂  I feel so privileged to meet another great couple who are going to be awesome parents.  Ok everyone check out this cutie…

At the Farm / Jacksonville Location Photographer

Wow what do you get when you cross a horse, a farm, a giant oak tree, lots of lollipops and four families?  You get a ton of great pictures and have lots of fun.  I’ve been to lots of different locations and this one is in central Florida.  One thing I love about location photography is sometimes you never know what you’re going to get until you get there….every location has potential but this one had it all.  Best part was the kids and how much fun they had at this place.  There was running, horse riding and just kids being kids.  I had a blast with these families and we got it all done before the clouds opened up pouring down the rain.  The horse’s name was Tinker bell…which was quite fitting because she was so great with kids.  We rapped up our session with giant lollipops for everyone and a big frappuccino from Starbucks on the way home for me.

My little G is not that little anymore but to me she will always be my little girl.  Since the studio in San Marco, we headed right down in the heart of San Marco to our great historical area for some modeling fun.  These were captured right before the porch to Cafe Carmon was renovated.  We beat a storm and captured some priceless picks right.  We even managed to get a little Starbucks time in.  Loving this light and my typical G’s attitude…

Childrens Photography with a little help from that favorite toy!

Childrens Photography should be fun and how fun to bring your child’s “baby”.  This special toy can make any childrens photography session go better!  What is more comforting to a child that their special things.  Do you remember your favorite toy growing up?  I bet you do…mine was my curious george stuffed animal.  He went everywhere with me!  So why not throw that toy into your bag on the way to a photo shoot.  And maybe even include the favorite blankie too!

This is a mini session that we did here at the studio.  I wanted to capture her toddler energy along with the quiet moments.  She was on the move most of the time and had her best friend “e” the frog with her.  We ran, played and who can resist those eyes.  She is a beauty!  I think this just shows how much personality and energy she has.  I wish I could be 17 months again…not a care in the world 🙂
