Rows of striped umbrellas, warm sand, deep blue water, and sunlit coastal color come together in "High Season," an original oil painting inspired by those full, golden days when the beach feels alive with summer.
This piece captures the joy of a shoreline in its busiest, brightest season. Umbrellas dot the sand, waves move steadily in the distance, and everything feels warmed by salt air and afternoon light. There is a cheerful energy here, but also a little nostalgia. The kind of beach day you remember later, when the towels are sandy, the sun is lower, and you wish you could stay just a little longer.

Do you paint commission pieces?
I paint portraits and commission paintings at select times of the year. If you would like to be on my waiting list, contact me here to get on the list.
When I buy an original do i own the rights to it?
I retain all rights to the artwork I create, including the right to make prints of any of my artwork. The only exception is if the client purchases the full rights to the art which is in addition to purchasing a painting.
The client can display and enjoy the art in their home or business but may not reproduce the art for sale.
If you would like to purchase full rights to one of my pieces, let me know, and I would be glad to discuss it.

U.S. Shipping
All original paintings include free standard shipping within the United States.
Each painting is carefully packaged in my Jacksonville studio to protect it during transit. Please allow approximately 5–7 business days for your artwork to be prepared before shipment. Tracking information will be emailed once your order is on its way.
Oversized paintings may require additional handling or delivery coordination, but domestic shipping is still complimentary.
International Shipping
Mini paintings under 8 inches ship internationally for a flat rate of $20.
For larger original paintings, please email danita@danitabrooks.com before purchasing so I can provide a shipping quote and confirm availability for your destination.
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees charged by their country.
